Marketing Manager

Océ Australia Ltd

December 2009 – December 2012

Melbourne, Australia

Responsible for the planning, budgeting and execution of all DP (Document Printing Business unit) marketing activities. Working closely together with the Business Unit Director, the National Sales Manager and his team as well as the MarComms department. Our multi-channel campaigns and events were delivered on time and budget and have established new sales cycles and increased customer retention.
The success rate for direct mailings in 2009 and 2010 has been between 4% to 12%, consistently higher than the Australian industry average of 3%. We have been present at all major trade shows and have generated new business by showcasing our unique solutions together with our business partners.
Our own events have been very successful despite vast distances between venues and I have created a planning and execution method that ensured the same level of presentation and customer interaction in all states. „Achieve Ultra Productivity“ was the title of one of our most successful roadshow events which generated direct sales upwards of $ 500,000.00 and expanded existing sales cycles by more than $ 300,000.00.
The introduction of the entire Canon product portfolio in 2010 was completed using PRINCE2 methodology. I have assisted in introducing company wide process improvements and implemented changes to the mainframe database and CRM systems to streamline business processes.

Product Manager

Océ Australia Ltd

2006 – 2009

Melbourne, Australia

I started my employment at Océ Australia dealing with corporate and education customers selling both Océ and OEM hardware and software solutions. The first KonicaMinolta product was just being introduced to the Australian market and my knowledge was put to use extensively to train both customers and our sales team on the new system.
As a consequence I was then asked to look after the product introduction and management of all KonicaMinolta configurations in Australia. This included product and demonstration training for all Account Managers as well as the creation of marketing campaigns and events. From zero, we achieved a year on year growth of 120% and eventually the KM range made up 55% of the revenues in our business unit.
One of my most successful campaigns was called „Scared of Colour“ which generated 30% more sales cycles in three months. All our marketing deliverables were specifically tailored towards the Australian target market.
In the following years the range of Océ cutsheet hardware and software solutions were added to my responsibilities.
